Corwood Manual & Christian Ludwig’s Sendawoy EP was released last December, yet we have been waiting for a live premiere of this… Now both of them finally realized a stage version of it, a slightly expanded reinterpretation of the release. The premiere will take place at Berlin’s Voo Store at the heart of Kreuzberg on May 10. Entrance is free and a Corwood Manual solo set will also be part of the adventure. You are welcome.

“Nachts” is a home recording experiment by Janek Sprachta, an EP recorded and completed in one day. The idea: A room full of instruments, a handful of microphones, 24 hours at hand and the goal to craft a piece of music that incorporates all ideas that spring to mind. The music on this release is coming from a rather neo-classical branch of Janek’s diverse creative background, having played in various bands and projects over the years that covered a wide range of the musical spectrum. It is a departure from his band activities in many ways, all is improvised from scratch, carefully layered and condensed into four pieces of instrumental nature. ”Nachts” is out on April 27, and here is a short trailer for you to enjoy…
There are two Corwood Manual shows coming up, first is an exhibition in Berlin which will take place tonight, February 24th. “Kommst du raus zum Spielen?” is the name of the game and will combine live acts, childhood memories and lots of dancing. W are curious to find out! It will be an early show, be there at 7pm and you won’t miss the set. On March 1st Corwood Manual takes the stage at Hamburg’s Gängeviertel alongside La Boum Fatale. It will be a free show, so bring your friends, pets and neighbours! Here are the dates again:

It’s been in the works for some time now, and today we can bring you a new EP by Tellavision. It goes by the name of “We Love the Omniscient Narrator” and hosts three recordings of new songs as well as a remix by My First Trumpet. Some copies found their way to some of you already as they have been sold at Tellavision’s latest shows in advance, from now on it is available to everyone.

On February 18 Tellavision is part of the Klub Katarakt Festival in Hamburg. The opening of the festival is dedicated to John Cage, who this year would have celebrated his 100th birthday. The Hamburg-based ensemble Nelly Boyd and various artists present MUSICIRCUS, in which several compositions of Cage will be performed, distributed in three halls - overlapping or simultaneously. The late concert puts the festival’s theme into a pop-music context: Our very own Tellavision shows us how atmospheric vividness and lo-fi asthetics can melt into an organic amalgam of hardware and soul, while the band Halma markes out milestones in wide open spaces with their music: travelling as a state of being. We had some pretty packed weeks since we last wrote you here… Time for an update! Tellavision returned home after weeks of tour excitement with Hundreds and Touchy Mob, we have another artist added to our beloved little label (more about that very soon!), new songs were written, recordings were made, shows were booked for the next year and dang! Here we are with the next release!
8 tracks, 2 people, 1 book: Today a new and joint release by Lieblingsempire and Bloody Hands Ltd., a collaboration between Corwood Manual and author Christian Ludwig is released. “Sendawoy” is Christian Ludwig’s debut novel, this new EP is a reinterpretation of the book through new music by Andreas Bonkowski as Corwood Manual. Excerpts of the book were recorded with tape machines indoors and outdoors with the author reading and music was especially written and performed for this release to play with the mood and story of the book. The result is a short journey through the pages filled with twists and turns. The “Sendawoy” EP also features a title track of the same name and is available today in physical and digital editions directly via Bandcamp here and there.

Today marks the first day of Tellavision’s tour of Poland and Germany which will be partly spend on the road with Hundreds and Touchy Mob… Good stuff!
